First Impression Review: Foundation Stick

You guys know I love foundation, so I decided to do a first impressions review of a the new Hourglass Cosmetics Vanish Seamless Finish Stick Foundation in my new video! I decided to wear it out all day, to see how it holds up.  I went to the music festival Outside Lands to be able to test how the foundation held up both indoors and outdoors, for several hours at a time. Watch my video below to see the results!

Hong Kong Dessert

This is one of my favorite Chinese desserts! It is coconut milk with grass jelly and tapioca! Although most spots out here make this pretty well, nothing beats the time I had this in Hong Kong! Thinking of visiting again!

Fun Little Pet Photo Sesh

Helllloooo sistas!!

I keep telling myself, “I need to start blogging! I miss blogging!!”

Do you guys remember Xanga? Umm…too old for you? ….Ok let’s just say Tumblr. LOL!

I used to love blogging on Xanga or Tumblr! It’s like writing a super long tweet or Instagram post, except it’s actually ok to be long winded because it’s a blog. Do you guys ever write a long ass post on Instagram getting all deep and emotional and then think to yourself, “Ok is this too dramatic???” …..Cause I sure do! Well that’s not the reason I want to get back into blogging. Cause forreal, if I wanted to be long winded on Instagram…I would! But there’s a different place for being long winded and super detailed….HELLO BLOGGING WORLD!

I think this would be a fun place where I can get into more details about everything! Whether it be about my fur babies, beauty, advice, whatever it may be! Something about writing things out is just so therapeutic. Anyone else agree?

Well anywhoo, just wanted to come on here and say hello! Hope some of you still stuck around despite me not updating in MONTHHSSS! Here are some cute photos I took of my children today. Hope it brightens up your day or night!

That’s all for today! <3

We hit 1.2 million subscribers/sistas on my YouTube channel!

Hey guys!

Whoaaaa it’s still crazy to me that anyone would subscribe to my channel. No forreal, I sometimes really wonder what there is about me that you guys enjoy watching about. LMAO. But regardless of what it be, I just love and appreciate you all soooo much! Please know that you are all like family to me and I just wish I can personally meet all of you in person, grab coffee, have dinner, etc. Not just a normal meet & greet, but a legit sit down- get to know each other type of thing. I wish I had a clone machine…lol not really. But you know what I mean.

Soooo…welcome to my blog! I’m new to all of this…the last time I had anything like this, it was my Xanga (anyone remember Zanga?!) and my MySpace. I know you guys remember MySpace…haha! But here are my upcoming plans for this blog!

1. Regular updates of course

2. Inspiration (kind of like my personal pinterest)

3. Girl talks. Things happen to me everyday and I simply can’t make a girl talk video about it every time, but writing about it would be nice! So look out for girl talk topics on here, or if you guys have anything you want me to talk about, leave it in the comments!

4. My home decor & DIY. You all know I love my vintage, shabby chic shopping lifestyle. I will also give you guys updates of where I get my furniture and how I arrange them in my place!

And that’s all I have for now! Comment below if you have any suggestions or thoughts you have for my blog. I am open to all your ideas!

I hope you all have a wonderful day/evening. I love you and take care!

With love,

Feelings & Things

Hey guys!

I’m just editing my Monday video and decided to read some comments on my previous video I posted yesterday. After reading the comments, I felt so…I don’t even know how to describe it. The support from you guys is just amazing. I will warn you, this post is pretty emotional.

I’m sure most of you know I had lots of troubles as a kid, especially with self esteem and making friends. As much as I want to say I’m past that phase of my life, there are still times where I still remember that horrible feeling of not having friends and always afraid to try new things because I always feel like I’m not good enough, or people will just laugh at what I have to say. If you’ve seen my Draw My Life video that I posted about a year ago, then you would know I was suicidal growing up. I know this sounds so sad and dramatic, but it’s true. There’s been many nights I would lock myself up in my closet and write letters and title them “to be read after my death.” Not even dramatizing, but that’s what I did. I would cry in my closet and look at myself in the mirror and repeat to myself over and over “no one loves you. Not mom, not dad, not your sisters, not grandparents. Not one person. There’s no point of you being here.” There’s been a few times I got so depressed I ran down to my kitchen and grabbed a knife and thought about what was the easiest way to end it. Boy, am I glad I have a fear of blood. Otherwise, homegirl wouldn’t be here today!

Again, that sounds so dramatic. But that’s just how I was. Anyway, the point of that really personal story is that at that time of my life, I would’ve never thought I can get past it. I told myself I know I’m not gonna make it to being an adult. Because sooner or later, I would have the courage to just “do it.” I get comments and messages from you guys a lot and realize many of you guys are going through what I went through.  One thing I can say to you is that things will always get better. Even if they don’t, YOU will get better at handling it. NEVER, EVER think of cutting your life short because you never know what is ahead of you. Obstacles in your life right now are there to teach you a lesson, every time. When I was younger, I felt like obstacles were there to torture me. Yes, they feel like it. But they’re not. They’re there to teach you to be stronger, to teach you how to grow up, to teach you how to handle hardships. So I hope that you remember this! Whether this applies to you right now or not. Life is full of surprises, happy ones and heartbreaking ones. Always remember things will get better and to always have hope. That is what got me through the times I thought I couldn’t get through. Everyday, practice to be positive.

Next thing I want to say is that, I am forever grateful for your support. Whether you are a viewer on my YouTube channel, a reader here on my blog, a friend of mine, my family, a former classmate – I am thankful for you. I never learned to appreciate my life this much and feel so proud of myself until I started my YouTube channel. I was never smart in school (I’m still not, lol) and family members told me I’m going to be a useless person. Rude right? Anyway, I never thought I would have this many friends. You are all my friends, as cheesy as that sounds. I know we don’t know each other personally, but I want you to know you’re the reason I am the person I am today. You guys are always there to watch my videos, comment back to me on Twitter & Instagram, and leaving supportive comments just every where possible. Those things you guys do for me pushes me every day and puts a smile on my face. The opportunities I’ve been given from my YouTube career is all thanks to you guys. Because you guys believe in me and support me. I’m able to work with brands I never imagined I could and go to places I never imagined because of your support. My family can live a more stable life because of you guys. So thank you.

I will always strive to be better for you guys and for myself. Thank you so much, from the bottom of my heart.

Welcome to my Blog!

Hello world!

Welcome to my blog! I’ve been wanting to start a blog for over 2 years and I finally got around to doing it. I used to love using my Tumblr (callmeweylie) back in high school. I must warn you, I have super boring and embarrassing posts on there, but hey. Feel free to check it out if you want to meet the high school me.

I made a blog because I want you guys to get to know me more! Not that you don’t already do from my YouTube channel (ilikeweylie) and vlog channel with my boyfriend (WahlieTV). But this blog allows you to get into my head and read about what goes through my mind. Anyone else do lots of thinking at night, right before bed?  Well, I figured a blog will help me get those thoughts out!

In this post, instead of just welcoming you to my blog, I thought I would answer some questions you guys always ask me about. Here I go…

1. What color is your hair?

I get my hair done at a salon and my color is a custom made color. I do not know the specific name, but I would describe my hair as a golden medium brown.

2. How tall are you?

I’m 5’4″. Although I do think I’m taller and appear much taller. But hey, I’ve been measured many times and YES. Homegirl is 5’4″.

3. How old are you?

Currently, I am 21 years old! Surprise!

4. What’s your ethnicity?

I’m Chinese. I speak Cantonese with my family, but I can also understand and speak Mandarin. My whole life I’ve been told I’m a tiny bit Vietnamese. But now I’m told that I’m not. So I honestly have no idea…but I do not speak Vietnamese. Only Chinese & English.

P.S. Chinese was actually my first language!

5. What are your hobbies?

Aside from YouTube,  there are actually many things I love to do! I love biking, camping, hiking, rafting, going to the beach…pretty much anything that has to do with being outdoors. I also love home decor. I can spend a day at Home Depot or a furniture store and feel very entertained. Well, maybe not an entire day. But if my boyfriend took me there for a date, I will not mind it at all. I sometimes think to myself that if YouTube disappeared one day, my next career path would be something to do with interior design.

I hope this helped you get to know me a little more or answered some of your questions about me! Feel free to ask anything else you would like to know. I’m also very open about talking about ANYTHING. You guys are my cyber sistas.

Until next time!
